NEAT Metal Cutting fluid
Neat cutting oils, sometimes referred to as straight oils, are non-emulsifiable lubricants used in metal cutting and forming operations without dilution. They are typically formulated from highly refined mineral oils, synthetic bases, GTL oils, or biodegradable vegetable oils, and further enhanced with EP (extreme pressure) and anti-wear additives. Unlike water-miscible coolants, neat oils provide superior boundary lubrication at the cutting zone, forming a stable lubricating film that minimizes metal-to-metal contact.
This results in lower cutting forces, reduced tool wear, improved dimensional accuracy, and extended service life of both tools and machines.
